Reymundo Espinoza, CEO
In honor of the new Gardner Packard Children’s Health Center, we are holding a Gala on Saturday, October 25, 2014 called the “Year of the Child.” The event is in recognition of the children we have the privilege to serve, many whom are immigrants and come with their families to the United States seeking a better life and futures filled with promise. Through our community partnerships and proceeds raised through this event, we will be able to continue to provide critical care to children who do not qualify for government or other health care coverage. These children are our future and we must ensure their path to adulthood is a healthy one.
The Gala promises to be a spectacular event and is being held at the brand new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Guests will be treated to an inside view of the new home of the San Francisco 49ers, with panoramic views of the football field and second deck seats from the ballroom. The festive evening will have a health care theme and will include dinner, fine wines, performance poetry, and dancing to local favorite Tortilla Soup.
I’m very excited that as part of the event, Gardner will be honoring Santa Clara County and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital for their deep commitment to improving the health and vitality of our community. Both organizations have been steadfast partners of Gardner and have been critical to fulfilling our mission. Supervisor Cindy Chavez will accept the award on behalf of Santa Clara County and Christopher Dawes will be accepting on behalf of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Together, we have built a strong system of care for the poor, vulnerable, and disenfranchised in our community and it will be an honor to recognize their tremendous contributions during this special evening.
I am also pleased by the support we’ve received from our event sponsors. Their sponsorship has allowed us to underwrite the entire cost of the event and ensures that 100% of proceeds will go towards providing access to health care for our clients. Our sponsors include Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Blach Construction, Santa Clara Family Health Plan, and the Health Trust, and many more. The full list of sponsors is too long to mention here, but can be found on our website at: https://gardnerhealthservices.org/our-sponsors.
