Gardner Health Services’ Inaugural Cinco de Mayo Fundraising Golf Tournament

What:
On Mayo 5, 2025 Gardner Health Services will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo by hosting our Inaugural Fundraising Golf Tournament. This fundraiser will strengthen and transform the care we provide to children and families in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties by modernizing our health centers with renovated spaces and updated equipment and technologies.

Our goal of raising $100,000 toward this initiative was met by the generous support of over 50 local organizations, companies, and donors. A special thanks to our highest donors coming in at our Albatross Sponsor Level of $10,000. They are Dr. Miguel Valencia, former Specialty Behavioral Health Director of Gardner Health Services, Kaiser Permanente, and Silicon Valley Builders Group.

The tournament will feature a two-person scramble, a hole-in-one challenge, a championship round – Muerte Súbita. El Final., a live auction hosted by Franco Finn, Hypeman of the Golden State Warriors, and entertainment by Mariachi Continental.

Where:
The Course at Wente Vineyards
5040 Arroyo Road
Livermore, CA 94550

When:
Lunes, Mayo 5, 2025 @ 10:00am

Why:
We are developing plans to modernize all our community health centers. This ambitious effort enables us to serve our patients & clients and support our care teams with new and renovated facilities and technologies that match the Greater Bay Area’s world-class hospital and healthcare systems with whom we partner. Our work is being carried out to strengthen care services and broaden access for our local communities.

  • – Enhance care: The comfort and care of our patients remains a top priority. Our modernized health centers will accommodate new technologies, provide space for renovated exam rooms and expanded services, including mental healthcare, improving the overall experience of our patients and clients.
  • – Modernize facilities: Our care teams are serving the most under-resourced individuals within the industry. By updating our health centers, we ensure our clinical teams have the best facilities and tools to deliver first-rate care and attract mission-driven staff.
  • – Access for all: We are committed to delivering quality, accessible healthcare to all, regardless of ability to pay. Our financial prudence along with your support, permits investment into these necessary renovations.

About Gardner Health Services
In 1967, the Alviso community, aided by Stanford Medical School, medical students and the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity, built the Alviso Family Health Center, the first established community clinic in California, to fill the gap of non-existent medical care for Mexican farm workers. When services were expanded into the City of San José, the name was changed to Family Health Foundation of Alviso, Inc. Around the same time, in a separate community, a group in the Gardner neighborhood, aided by Stanford Medical School, medical students and Sacred Heart Church organized Gardner Health Center, a community clinic helping cannery workers. Later, the Family Health Foundation of Alviso, Inc. became Gardner Family Health Network, Inc. and Gardner Health Center became Gardner Family Care Corporation. In Julio 2019, Gardner Family Health Network, Inc. and Gardner Family Care Corporation came together and merged as one under Gardner Family Health Network, Inc. d.b.a. Gardner Health Services.

Gardner Health Services is a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides medical and mental healthcare to over 43,000 patients and clients throughout Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.
